Zuzu Fitness Class Schedule

Our Classes…

All classes are free except yoga. Workouts are led by Be3 committee members on a volunteer basis, and the owner of ZuZu Pedals, Tammy, is letting us use her space for FREE! The only class that has a fee is yoga. Yoga is led by certified and paid instructors.

Zuzu Cycle Workouts

Cycling indoors is easy and fun! We use our own bikes and put them on trainers. A trainer is a stationary bike stand that enables you to ride your bike all year long, which is great in Wisconsin! If you don’t have a bike or a trainer, we have a limited number of trainers and spin bikes available. Reservations for trainers and spin bikes are managed online. Please see notes below. For each class, please arrive 15 minutes early for bike setup. Setting up your bike is easy and we have plenty of people on hand to help. All bikes will work except mountain bikes with knobby tires (consider buying a smooth tire for your back wheel). If you have not cycled indoors before, you will need a trainer skewer for your back wheel (available at the store, cost $6, easy one-time installation).

Zuzu Strength Workouts

Join us for a fun, energetic workout. The workout is for all abilities and each exercise has several options to fit your experience level.  If you are new, please arrive 10 minutes early for an explanation of the exercises.  New people will also be paired up with a “buddy” to answer questions during class.

Zuzu Walk/Run Workouts

These workouts focus on participation and completion, not speed.  The routes are designed to keep people of all paces together on the same stretch, without having to go the same pace.  Please arrive a few minutes early.  The workout will start promptly at the specified time.  We begin with a 15-minute warmup at your own pace enjoying the scenic views of downtown Port Washington.  The warmup is a timed out-and-back route, which means everyone turns around at the same time (not distance) enabling everyone to finish where they started at the same time.  After warmup, we gather at the bottom of St. Mary’s hill for 15 minutes of hills and/or stairs at your own pace.  After hills/stairs, you can do a cool-down run back to ZuZu’s or continue on with another out-and-back route heading north on Wisconsin St.  We recommend wearing a watch to time the warmup and other parts of the walk/run.  We plan to walk/run all winter, cancelling only when the conditions are unsafe based on wind chill and snow/ice.  Come give it a try!
